Spring 2011 has been very generous with thunderstorms  ... 17-18 April 2011  April Winter   10cm of snow accumulation on Parnassos - heavy rain, cold weather and strong winds in Athens -  animation 7-8 March 2011  Insignificant snow in Attika   A much anticipated snow event proved to be a major disappointment... 5 cm of snow cover in Politeia and a dusting of snow in downtown Athens (reaching even coastal areas such as Faliro) is all we got for this winter. 18 February 2011 A taste of Hurricane   Hurricane conditions in Athens due to a depression passing on our SW(satellite).
